Want to stay past dinner?
For those of you who’d like to stay past dinner, we’ve got a few lodging options. Some are within walking distance, others a quick (and complimentary) ride away. Knystaforsen is first of all a restaurant; we can’t offer 5-star luxury, but all of our rooms are clean and cozy with comfortable beds, beautiful surroundings and great coffee.
If you have a lodging preference, just let us know by replying to the confirmation email you receive after booking. We’ll do our very best to house you at the lodging of your choice.
When you book AN EVENING AT KNYSTAFORSEN + A ROOM FOR THE NIGHT we’ll make sure you get a great night’s rest in one of the places here below.
Would you like breakfast?
We do not offer breakfast, but next to Knystaforsen there’s an amazing bakery, Fika by Steph, where you are warmly welcome for breakfast. After reserving your dinner table, we will send you a link to book your breakfast moment with Steph.
Notice that breakfast is not included in the price of the room.
TORUPS GÄSTIS – double room
A handsome old inn dating back to 1848, 3.5 km from us, in the neighboring village of Torup, on a mirror-calm lake with a private sauna and bathing jetty, in case you want to have a morning- or pre-dinner dip. With its finials and butter-colored façade, Torups Gästis offers classic country charm and six serene double rooms with private bathrooms. We’ll arrange complimentary transfers to and from the restaurant.

TORUPS GÄSTIS – The Annex by the Lake
With its 5 double-occupancy bedrooms, the annex could host a group of friends or a family gathering. Dogs are also allowed in the annex. There is a terrace with lake view that begs for morning coffee sessions and afternoon drinks, and you have your own private sitting area in the garden. The bathroom is shared by you and your friends. The lake, sauna and shared garden is right next to the house. We’ll arrange complimentary transfers to and from the restaurant for the dinner. The house can accommodate up to 10 people, but we usually reserve it for maximum 6 people (if you are more, then some of you can spend the night in Torups Gästis’ main building).

VILLA KNYSTAFORSEN – double room
Right next to the restaurant, in our tranquil, wooded enclave. Freshly renovated Villa Knystaforsen has 3 sleek, double-occupancy suites with loungey seating areas and private bathrooms. All 3 face the Nissan River whose rushing water contributes just the right amount of white noise to really wind down. Please note: These rooms are extremely popular and most often fully booked.

VILLA KNYSTAFORSEN – penthouse
Located in the same building as the above double rooms, Villa Knystaforsen’s penthouse can house you and 4 of your best friends; it features 2 double-occupancy rooms, a living room with another bed and a shared bathroom. Here you’ll also share a balcony with terrific river views and a small kitchen. The Penthouse can accommodate up to 5 people.

LAHULT – double room
This tiny farmstead, just 2 km from us, offers 2 double-occupancy rooms and private bathrooms. The rooms can accommodate dogs. One bedroom is on the ground floor, hence, suitable for those who aren’t too fond of stairs. Your kind hosts, Morgan and Marit, will give you a ride back and forth to dinner. Lahult is very close to Rydö Badhåla, a wondrous little pond in the forest where people swim year-round.

The room price is the same whether you are one or two people staying in the room. All our rooms have shared double beds. If you would like individual rooms, please let us know.

We do not allow dogs in our restaurant and in Villa Knystaforsen, but we do have some rooms suitable for dogs that don’t bark or disturb other guests (cleaning fee +250 SEK/dog). If you are travelling with a dog, please contact us about lodging options.
If you are allergic to dogs, please let us know (so we don’t give you a dog friendly room).
We do not allow children below 11 years in the restaurant and in our rooms, sorry. If you need to bring your baby and a nanny, please contact us about lodging options.
